Although formal nominations have yet to commence until November 13, several AFSCME members have already expressed their intentions to run for various offices. To date, Brian Crow has announced that he will be running against current President, Michael Rider. Vince McGee will be running against Vice-President Jeremy Johnson. Jamie Anderson has announced that she will seek re-election as Secretary-Treasurer.  Incumbent Peggy Mulvihill will face challenger MiChelle Surratt for Recording Secretary. John Vaughan will seek another term as the Traffic Operations E-board representative (seat 5) and John Diffee is seeking re-election for seat 3 on the E-Board.   Other members are still eligible to receive nominations for office, and it is important that all members feel encouraged and empowered to get involved. Nominations can be made by notifying the Nominations Committee or from the floor at the Nov. 13th nominations meeting at 6pm.

Members may cast their ballots in person on November 27th from 7am to 7pm at the Union Hall. Please bring a valid photo ID. Results will be announced at the membership meeting once all of the ballots have been counted.
